The self image that these kids are projecting is geared more towards teen styles, teen attitudes, and teen behavior. Out came the childish images of puppies, cute images, comic heroes, etc. and up came more idols and styles that a teenager is prone to be more fascinated with.
What dangers that may occur through this "tween" phenomenon is that it grows our of a complicated mixture that they are relying more on others to tell them how the world and how to be placed in it. An empowerment that will leave them with vulnerability and exposed to the vulgar and sensation driven marketplace of the internet, society and entertainment that will affect their immature peers.
